At Sweet Caroline's Bakery we know that planning a wedding can be a stressful time, and one of the most important decisions you will make will be selecting the perfect wedding cake. To assist you in this process, there are a few simple questions to ask yourself to ensure you order an appropriately sized cake for your guests, plus suggestions to consider regarding your wedding cake. a memorable wedding cake is assured!

We must have at least one week notice for wedding cake orders, but the earlier you order the less work later on. You can even pay for it in advance to save you another step as the big day draws nearer! Don't forget we also have a large variety of pastries and buns too, and for any of our baked goods shown on our website you can get more information by rolling your mouse over the image!

Prices vary depending on the style, size and decorating of wedding cakes, so please feel free to drop by the bakery or call us at 250-545-0300 for a quote, or if you have any other questions and we will do our best to assist you!

Once you have answered those questions it is easier to order the appropriate size & shape of cake to meet your needs:

Round Cake	Rectangular Cake
6"cake feeds 6 people	8x12" cake feeds 15-20 people
8" cake feeds 10-12 people	12x16" cake feeds 40-60 people
10" cake feeds 20-25 people	16x24" cake feeds 80-100 people
12" cake feeds 30-40 people
14" cake feeds 40-45 people

Some things to consider when deciding on your wedding cake design and size are:

• Keep the top cake for your first anniversary. It will keep great frozen for your celebration!
• Rectangular cakes are easier to cut into even pieces than are round ones.
• If you bring your own wine glasses to substitute for pillars, make sure that they are narrow at the mouth of the glass and stand at least 5" high. This option saves you $5.00!
• Fondant gives you that elegant, smooth look, but may be sweet to some. Remember the cost for fondant is extra.
• We use butter in our icing and it's not as sweet as you may think. It is quite light and is an European icing. Those who don't like bakery icings like ours!
• There is an additional cost for any extra labour needed to make your cake.
• We must have at least one week notice, but the earlier you order the less work later on. You can even pay for it in advance to save you one more step!
• We are not setup to deliver, however if you are stuck and the wedding is in the Vernon area, we will deliver for a small charge.
• Don't forget that we have all types of pastries and buns to help feed your guests!
